London Mayor Sadiq Khan has announced a 35 pence increase in the London Living Wage from £10.20 per hour to £10.55, a 3.4% rise.

At Enhance Office Cleaning paying the London Living Wage is simply a cultural thing. It helps us to demonstrate that we really care about our employees and ultimately our clients.
It helps us to provide a good cleaning service. One that contributes to the health, wellbeing, security, safety and productivity of our clients premises and staff.
In a market where the labour pool for cleaning jobs is diminishing due to Brexit, it leaves Enhance in an advantageous position over its competitors who are paying less.
In June, Enhance won the 2018 Living Wage Champion Award for Recognised Service Provider of the year and has had over 90% of our staff on or above the London Living Wage since 2011.
Responsible businesses know that the government legal minimum pay rate is not enough to live on. In addition to that if all businesses in London paid the real Living Wage it would reduce the tax burden on the government by £800 million per annum by saving the benefits that many people on the legal minimum rates are still able to claim.
Employers that pay the real Living Wage enable their workers to live a life of dignity and meet the pressures of rising bills. Living Wage Foundation Director Tess Lanning said.
